Street art round up

Haven’t been out as much since the weather was shit for so long (I moved to get away from that cold, damn it), but here’s a few favorites I’ve spotted in the last few months.

Pair of new RX variants. Haven’t seen the collabs before.

I think these were in the bathroom of a Chinese restaurant? Forget exactly where… Really like the mix of mediums of the middle piece on the light fixture.

These marker pieces have gotta be a serious labor of love. I’m sure some “concerned citizen” took a razor blade to it with a quickness.

Another HUGE and gorgeous N.O. Bonzo work. Shame someone ripped a huge chunk off the left side, but that’s life.

Off hiatus!

The blog’s not dead! It just took a back seat to an offline project I’ve been really excited about. Behold, PDXcellent #1.

I *just* finished printing and stapling the first test run and it looks good! Just a little bit of fine tuning and I’ll be ready to start running off copies in bulk. I hope to get copies to contributors and consigned at a few places in the next week or two. If you want to get a copy by mail, drop a comment or otherwise get in touch.

That was a surprisingly long time ago

These murals used to brighten the halls of the school I went to in Anchorage. Posting them here for the curious, and folks who never got to see them or can’t quite remember what they looked like :)

The one in the back stairwell was by far my favorite. I put a lot of effort into getting an element of it incorporated into one of new art pieces that is on the outside of the building. I never did find out if it ended up in the final design the artist contracted to make them put together.

And the rest…
